IT Support Specialist

The IT Support Specialist is a key member of the internal IT Operations team providing excelling customer support in a fast-paced entrepreneurial IT company to users located in the office and at multiple external site locations. Responsible for maintaining the company IT environment.
 
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Provide technical support to all users across the entire network
  • Windows system administration support for multiple service applications. Responsible for leading Windows related operational support activities (e.g., installation, configuration, maintenance) including troubleshooting, software installation and general administration as well as user account management and password reset
  • Day to day configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Windows based network and hardware
  • Trouble/problem/service/change ticket generation and management utilizing ticketing system logging requests from users
  • Installation and configuration of Windows PC's
  • Maintain hardware and a variety of equipment located in the office and at the outsourcing sites if applicable
  • Provide technical support to all users as identified
  • Create and maintain a knowledge base for entire network for use in IT
  • Learn and maintain new third party applications hardware and software as well as assist in operations support systems platform administration
  • Coordinate and partner with various work centers, network engineers/administrators, and customer organizations in the execution of daily tasks
  • Implement data security best practices as appropriate
  • Support and liaise with Management and Security for all ISO 20000 and 27001 processes and actions
  • Comply with ISO 20000 and ISO 27001 standard and all processes
  • Comply with company policies and procedures relating to security, confidentiality and data protection and report any concerns as appropriate
  • Maintain and manage telecommunication functions
  • Manage asset inventory for the organization
  • Vendor Management for IT SLAs for hosting, PaaS, SaaS
  • Asset Management (HW, SW)
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting an organization’s IT operations
  • Experience with maintaining/creating SharePoint sites and permissions
Desired Skills & Abilities
  • Experience with setting up and using Zendesk (desired)
