DOE Analysts: Appliance Standards & Regulatory Support Services Support

DecisionPoint Corporation is currently seeking qualified candidates looking for exciting career opportunities in appliance stands and regulatory support services.
This project will aid in the development of the analyses required to establish new or amended energy conservation standards and test procedures for a variety of residential and commercial equipment. It is expected that Analyst activities will primarily support, but not be limited to, the Screening Analysis, Market and Technology Assessment, Engineering Analysis, Manufacturer Impact Analysis, National Impact Analysis, and certification, compliance and enforcement activities.
Specific responsibilities may include:
  • Providing detailed fact finding, research, and analysis on energy-related activities
  • Assessing technologies and analyzing technology trends
  • Modeling the performance of advanced technologies
  • Performing statistical and economic analyses; data collection; spreadsheet creation and management
  • Developing test methods to help characterize the energy use of various appliances
  • Reviewing international test methods and procedures currently used by industry
  • Testing the energy efficiency of various appliances
  • Preparing reports, presentations and other documents for client.
Analyst 1 (Entry Level):
  • Performs a variety of analysis assignments in one or more of the following areas: research, development, planning, coordination, and technical assessment of individual programs or several separate projects. Has a working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs used in performing analysis and other technical efforts.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Economics, Mathematics or related field.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
Analyst 2:
  • Performs a variety of analysis assignments with increasing level of difficulty with little or no oversight or guidance in one or more of the following areas: research, development, planning, coordination, and technical assessment of individual programs or several separate projects. Has a working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs used in performing analysis and other technical efforts.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Science, Economics, Mathematics or related field.
Good communication and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. Requires three (3) years of job-related experience, or a Master’s degree.
